Pure Genius?

Following on from my recent foray into 80s childhood a.k.a MJ’s finest Pepsi ad, I got to thinking about the shit ‘confused.com’ ads that swamp our tv lives and wondered ‘Why the hell aren’t there any amazing ads anymore?’ and ‘Why haven’t Pepsi collaborated with any major celebutantes recently?’

I will have none of this Recession nonsense – AMUSE ME a la Brit Brit.

Or one of my personal favourite of the Pepsi series – THE SPICE GIRLS.

Of course, great as these ads are they will never manage to induce anywhere near as much excitement as the wondrous Coca-Cola Christmas adverts. Holidays are comin….see you’re already excited, right?

It’s a Sad Day

As we all deal with the shocking news that Peter Andre and Jordan aka Katie Price are no longer the nations ‘premiere celebrity couple’ we can console ourselves with this video of happier times. That and the fact that you know this split is going to spawn a million epsodes of their reality TV series, in a his side/her side kinda thing I would imagine. Katie and Peter: The Divorce Courts.

Style Lovage

Anyone who was cool as a kid – LIKE ME, would tune in at 6 pm on Channel 4 for the weekly instalment of BLOSSOM. And her hot brother Joey. Not to mention her best friend Six. Thus creating the desire for a number name. I wanted Four. Jenny would take Nine. The wonder of Blossom didn’t just stop there – Oh no! It was the catalyst for my wardrobe choices, my career choices – just all choices in general.

Clearly Henry Holland felt the same.
